A one-of-a-kind catwalk show, highlighting solely on the plus-size fashion industry makers, was hosted for the very first time in the world’s mainstream fashion capital ‘Paris’.

Dubbed as Pulp Fashion Week, the runway event, which featured models of various sizes, shapes and ethnicities, was organised by Histoire de Courbes, a Paris-based fashion group that celebrates larger women.

Plus-size-friendly French labels like La Belle Affranchie, Maryse Richardson, Tamboo Bamboo, Tika Soomak and Femme Fabuleuses along with famous retailers, including Forever 21, MaGrandtaille.com, Curvy Kate and Asos Curve, presented their latest creations at the soiree.

The featured collections included an array of lingerie, haute couture and sportswear ensembles, available in European sizes ranging from 40 to 54 (equivalent to American sizes 6 to 20).

In addition to the fashion parade, Pulp Fashion Week calendar also included beauty and style workshops.

Fashion for curvy girls is gradually gaining importance everywhere. Previously, the just concluded September schedule of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York showcased a plus-size collection, designed by Eden Miller, for the very first time in its history of several mainstream fashion glorifying years. Eden Miller's clothing line Cabiria offers clothes in sizes 12 to 24.
