Once again, the crème de la crème of Peruvian fashion industry showcased their latest Spring/Summer 2013-14 collections at the just concluded Latin American glitzy sartorial soiree Lima Fashion Week.

Local designer Jessica Butrich drew inspiration from the aesthetics of old Hollywood glamour for her new fun, playful and highly innovative line. Based on cheerful shades of pink and blue, the wearable range featured retro-style full-skirted dresses and an array of flowing resort wear pieces.

Peruvian fashion label Moda & Cia, opted for a more bold and sexy look for the next season. Made from airy fabrics, the collection’s intricately detailed dresses and floaty skirts were adorned with leopard prints and floral designs.

Fashion talent Ana Maria Guiulfo presented a vibrantly coloured womenswear collection at the prestigious do. Decorated with watercolour motifs and hand-painted women figures, the line showcased several skilfully sculpted architectural style cocktail gowns and fitted dresses.

ETC Woman displayed a very pleasant and wearable runway collection, with pieces apt to be worn to beach or poolside parties. Accented with bobbing flashy fringes, the range included bold bathing suits in various colours.

Designer Ani Alvarez Calderon presented a highly conceptualized line made using lightweight synthetic fabric that ultimately helped in creating new shapes and volumes on the featured designs. Based on a muted yet sumptuous palette of ice blue, warm tan, black and white, the delicate range included dresses with sequined bird motifs and feather detailed coats.
