Angola International Fashion Show (AIFS), a global event that aims to highlight the rapidly growing Angolan fashion industry, will be organized in the country’s capital city of Luanda.

Scheduled to take place from December 5 to 6, 2013, the soiree will serve as a platform to establish business relationships between local and foreign designers.

Famous home-grown talents like Rose Palhares, Missente, Nadir Tati and Tina Sovenir, alongside designers from the US and other African nations, such as Mozambique’s Taibo Bacar, will feature their eclectic creations at AIFS.

The prestigious do will also showcase collections, portraying the magnificence of the entire African continent, from 12 international designers.

Nearly 38 percent of the proceeds from the event, which will be organized by Dinelia Eventos e Produções, will go to drought victims of the southern Cunene province.
