Anthony Ryan Auld, a former Project Runway participant and resident of the Capital City area of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, will be the subject of a new exhibit, due to take place from January 18 to March 30, 2014.

Slated to be held at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, the event will feature more than 30 pieces designed by the talented fashion designer.

Dubbed as ‘The Art of Fashion: Anthony Ryan’, the display will include pieces from the designer’s spring-2014 collection and his much-anticipated fall 2014 range.

Other than clothing exhibits, the event will also offer an insight into the Louisiana State University graduate’s creative process, with mediums like inspiration boards, sketches and early designs.

Apart from the Auld-dedicated exhibit, the Louisiana museum will also host a related exhibition entitled ‘A Lifetime of Project Runway’ in an adjoining gallery. The display will feature both recreated designs, which have been shown on the reality show, as well as new designs from 20 Project Runway participants, including Auld.

One of the major attractions of the exhibit will be the season-9’s birdseed dress, which helped in making Auld an overnight design sensation.

Anthony Ryan Auld studied on a full scholarship at the Paris American Academy, where he worked at numerous couture shows and studied specialized techniques in various fashion houses including Jean-Paul Gaultier. In 2011, Auld had the singular honour of being the first designer from Louisiana to appear on Project Runway.
