German fashion designer Dorothee Schumacher opened the third day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin with her Autumn/Winter-2014 collection meant for strong women.

Incorporated with elongated silhouettes and voluminous cuts, the range was made using materials like silk, metallic satin, crocodile leather, jacquard, velvet, tulle, fur and mohair.

Based in powdery tones of black and blue with hints of vibrant green, the line featured oversized sweaters, boxy cropped jackets and swingy skirts.

Under the creative guidance of its Head of Design, Elisabeth Schwaiger, the womenswear label Laurel presented both heavy duty winter garments as well as feminine designs at the event.

Inspired from the works of Munich painter Jo Netzko, the fur, leather and knitwear made collection showcased mink coats, cashmere sweaters, leggings, lace dresses and ponchos in soft yellow, bright red, deer brown and dark blue shades.

Berlin-based high-end fashion brand Glaw, by designer duo Jesko Wilke and Maria Poweleit, featured a heavy on leather and silk collection, which displayed an olive green blouse, a biker jacket, a red feathery coat, a sequined peplum and a long off-white evening gown.
