Fashion Designers Expo presented the first "I HEART Fashion I HEART Kids" in 2012 to empower youth around the globe using their love for fashion as the tool.
"I HEART Fashion.I HEART Kids" has featured over 200 kids and teens, strengthening their Self Confidence, Self Esteem, Self Worth, as youth while encouraging them to dream big. The goal is to let youth know that they can do anything they put their minds to. They can make a difference in their community, their nation, and even their world!
Special guest appearances have included NFL Pro Player Kennard Cox, Founder of Outside the Huddle Foundation, Inc. which invests in the future of our youth across the country, Kesha Nichols from VH1's Basketball Wives Miami. Kesha made a special presentation to Hear the Runway Foundation, Inc. during the Runway Show, and Miss Kimmy from WEDR 99 Jamz.
"I HEART Fashion.I HEART Kids" also focuses on anti-bullying. Bullying has become a very sad issue in our school system for years and has caused more and more suicides. "I HEART Fashion.I HEART Kids" is taking a step towards positive change by using fashion as the tool to empower our youth; building up their self esteem and equip them with the strength and confidence to face the challenges of life.
