The recently concluded edition of the Roman bi-annual fashion week AltaRomaAltaModa featured latest designs from several young and seasoned talents from various parts of Italy.

Design label Gattinoni featured its new Spring/Summer 2014 collection at the glitzy soiree. Made from lightweight fabrics like macramé, organza, tulle and lace, the high-fashion ensembles like studded leggings and white bridal gowns were decorated with metals and stones.

Massimo Noli and Nicola Frau, the two up and coming Sardinian designers and finalists of the Who is On Next competition, a young designers promoting scouting project jointly organized by the fashion event organizers and Vogue Italy, showcased their new autumn-winter 14-15 line.

Made from cady silk, wool, neoprene and Alcantara (the artificial substitute for suede leather), the ready-to-wear pieces included vinyl finished elongated coats, T-shirts and shorts lined with colourful bands.

The four-day-long event also displayed a prêt-a-couture collection from Sarli Couture as well as an eclectic menswear range from Arthur Arbesser.
