This year, designers from across the world joined in to welcome the auspicious Chinese Lunar New Year of the Horse with their new year-themed clothing and accessory collections.

Ace American fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg, who currently is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her famous wrap dress, has unveiled a limited-edition horse-print wrap dress line inspired from the 2014’s Chinese Zodiac calendar.

Recently, in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Hong Kong-based designer Badwin Cheung and Danish fashion talent Mads Dinesen held a fashion show, dedicated to the equestrian year.

Also, some 92 contestants from the Jilin Provisional Women’s Prison, located in north China’s Jilin Province, featured their original designs at a special catwalk event, held to usher in the New Year.

In addition to the themed fashion lines and runway parades, the beautiful city of Shanghai also took part in celebrating the Chinese New Year 2565 with a sumptuous display of the sexy, body-hugging Chinese dress Qi Pao, also known as cheongsam.

The showcase titled Le Jardin Chinois witnessed an array of the delicate hand embroidery, French lace and vibrant floral design adorned tight-fit satin silk ensembles with short hemlines designed by the likes of Indonesian high-fashion designer Sebastian Gunawan.
