One fashion exhibitor, Zhejiang Textiles Import & Export Group sales executive Cynthia Wang, said, ''We've been exporting to the Middle East and we wanted to increase the proportion of business in United States and Europe. At the show, while meeting buyers from these regions, we also learned the trends and their preferences, which helped us a lot in developing new items in future.''

Another exhibitor, Fujian Homebest Footwear & Garment General Manager Shannon Chen, said: ''We participated in the Fair's Fashion Parades and these enabled more buyers to recognize our company.''

Buyers, exhibitors and other VIPs attended Global Sources' 35th anniversary party at AsiaWorld-Expo on April 16. The event celebrated the company's long history of bringing Asia's quality manufacturers together to trade with international buyers.

Global Sources Chairman and CEO, Merle Hinrichs, said: ''After 35 years, our commitment to be the source of international trade success for our advertisers and quality buyer community is stronger than ever.''

China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products will be the largest trade show at AsiaWorld-Expo since the venue's opening, with over 3,600 booths filling all 10 halls of the venue. The show will run from April 22-25. It will feature more than 1,200 mainland China suppliers -- most of whom have never exhibited in Hong Kong - plus over 800 Hong Kong and 500 Taiwan suppliers.

Koelnmesse's International Hardware Fair/Practical World Hong Kong will be co-located with the Gifts & Home Products fair. It will feature a range of hardware and do-it-yourself products.
