Following the success of its first edition, the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX) is geared up to host the second edition of the ‘Spain Fashion Exhibition’, once again in the South Korean capital city of Seoul, from February 11 to 12, 2014.

According to a statement issued by ICEX, the two-day fair organized by ICEX with the support of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Seoul, is a promotional event for Spanish fashion enterprises to showcase and acquaint professional buyers from South Korea with their products.

The expo would have 22 Spanish firms operating in the fashion segment showcasing their latest autumn-winter 2014-2015 collections to buyers in South Korea. Of the total participating exhibitors, 6 firms are from the textile sector, 2 from the garments sector, 13 footwear manufacturing firms and 1 leather and leather goods producing company.

According to the ICEX, there are several Spanish fashion brands present in the South Korean market such as Carolina Herrera, Hoss Intropia, Mango, Zara, Cortefiel, Punto Blanco, etc., and the aim of the exhibition is to further acquaint South Korean buyers with the high-quality products manufactured in Spain.

As per ICEX data, exports of Spanish wearing apparel to South Korea increased by 124 percent from the years 2010 to 2012, reaching a value of €55 million during 2012.
