Colombo Fashion Week, which concluded last week, showcased an array of day and evening wear designs created by both local and foreign talents.

Designers from around the globe such as Spain, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Holland featured their latest clothing and accessory collections at the Sri Lankan event.

Spanish fashion designer Agatha Ruiz De La Prada opened the three-day-long soiree with her vibrant youthful range. Replete with circular and conical silhouettes, the neon-hued ensembles were decorated with gigantic bows and hand painted patterns.

Indian fashion talent Krishna Mehta showcased her 2014 resortwear line. Based on cool, summery shades of grey, pink, purple, black and white, the line included breezy linen shirts and flowing pants decorated with floral prints.

Sri Lankan clothing brand House of Inspiration presented a flamingo-inspired collection with typical girly vibes. Designed by Radhika M, the sophisticated zipper and metal stud embellished pieces were based on a palette of muted pastels.
