A photographic and audiovisual exposition highlighting the changing streetwear trends in Chile is currently going on at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica, located in the Chilean capital city of Santiago.

Titled as Viste La Calle Expo, the event features more than 2000 photographs and other installations, sourced from the six-year-old national fashion website with the same name vistelacalle.com.

With the primary aim to explore the evolution of streetwear over the past 20 years, the expo showcases works of well-known local designers such as Lupe Gajardo, Paulo Mendez, Rosita Tocornal, Antonio A, Vera Sielfeld, Sisa, Rodrigo Sebastián del Real and Valenzuela.

Pictures of fashion illustrators, photographers and models, who had been featured on the website earlier, have also been included in the exhibition.

Scheduled to run through March 16, 2014, the event will also host lectures on fashion and other related topics, including 2014 trends, sustainability, art direction and creativity.

In addition to the aforementioned side events, a workshop titled ‘Dress up your style’, which will encourage amateur designers, will also be conducted.

Vistelacalle.com focuses on street fashion that one sees everyday in the streets and corners of the Latin American country.
