2,500 exhibitors show at Russia's Textillegprom fair

A total of 2,500 exhibitors showcased their products at the 42nd Federal Textile Trade Fair of Russia ‘Textillegprom’, the country’s largest exhibition of textile and light industry products, which concluded recently in Moscow.
 
Organized by the Official Russian Light Industry Association (Roslegprom) and the Textile Expo exhibition firm, under the patronage of the Moscow government, Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Manufacturers, the Textillegprom fair is considered to be the largest specialized event in Russia for the light industry.
 
Around 2,500 exhibitors representing 3,000 enterprises from 27 different countries showcased their products at various salons dedicated for different categories of textile and apparel products during the four-day fair. More than 30,000 visitors attended the show.
 
Renowned Russian fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev opened the ‘Russian Fashion’ competition during the four-day fair, by showcasing his innovative collection titled ‘Spring Improvisation’. The ‘Russian Fashion’ competition saw several young and upcoming designers from Russia presenting their latest collections.
 
During the event, leading Russian fashion expert Andrew Burmatikov, director of Burmatikov Fashion Lab, hosted several seminars for apparel manufacturers and sharing his expertise on modern trends in fabrics and materials for clothing.
 
Exhibitors at the show presented various products such as men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, knitwear, lingerie, headgears, shawls, scarves and clothing accessories, various fabrics, fur and leather products, textile machineries and equipments, technical textiles as well as footwear and bags.
