The 22nd IAF World Apparel Congress will be held at Thessaloniki, Greece in June 2006 and the event is being hosted by Hellenic Clothing & Fashion Industry Associations that will be hosting the IAF Convention for the second time in sixteen years.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the IAF which the Association plans to celebrate during the gala dinner on June 19, 2006.
Leading textiles and clothing manufacturers, retailers, consumer organizations, designers & fashion marketers will remain present at the convention.
The 22nd World Apparel Congress will also focus on sourcing and networking opportunities with entrepreneurs from a wide geographical area including, among others the Balkans and Black Sea region and countries from the Mediterranean basin.
The Congress will will witness some erudite discussions on the industry moderated by eminent personalities like Robin Anson, Director and Managing Editor of Textiles Intelligence, Marc Tungate, Marketing Guru and writer, Dr Angela Peers, Dr Mike Fralix, Pere Prat, autor and corporate honcho, Ken Watson, Supply Cain Expert, Professor Sanjay Gupta, Chairman Fashion & Textiles National Institute of Fashion Technology, India and Professor Catherine Fairhurst Head of the Department of Clothing Design and Technology Manchester.
The Thessaloniki based Hellenic Fashion Industry Association (SEPEE) was founded in 1973 and is the largest apparel manufacturers association in Greece.
