Young and seasoned fashion designers from the Caribbean region are gearing up to showcase their creativity at the forthcoming edition of Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW) 2014.

Slated to take place from June 11 to 16, the heavy on fashion extravaganza, now in its 13th year, will feature knitwear, resortwear, swimwear and women’s and men’s collections from designers belonging to Jamaica, Trinidad, Antigua, British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Ethiopia, Cayman Islands, Zimbabwe and Tobago.

Due to be held in the Jamaican capital city of Kingston, the week-long soiree will showcase designs from names like Angelie Martin, Diana Williamson, Mahlet Afework, Barry Moncrieffe, Brenda Winstead, Jacqueline Cohen, Saleem Samuels, Tameka Jervis-George, Tigerlily Hill, Sabina Mutsvati and Amril Douglas.

Other than the runway shows, an on-site shopping lounge, selling clothes right from the catwalk parades, as well as several business forums and workshops on topics ranging from branding to public relations will be included on the sidelines of the event schedule.

An e-commerce site shopcaribbeanfashion.com, aiming to serve as a platform for the participating Caribbean fashion designers to sell their products globally, will be launched on June 15, 2014.
