The 1950’s American screen siren Marilyn Monroe played as muse for Brazilian fashion designer Alexandre Herchcovitch’s latest summer-2015 collection showcased on the second day of ongoing Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW).

Based in shades of pink, red, coral, blue and off white, the range included gorgeous latex coats, crystal studded cashmere jackets, pencil skirts, vinyl pants and woollen evening dresses.

Pat Pat’s creative director Andrea Viera drew inspiration from the life of famous American model and DJ Harley Viera-Newton for her 23-piece line. Made using textured leather with metallic hints, the range included short skirts, tights and cropped tops in coral, off white, nude, gold, pink and blue tones.

Designer Patricia Motta showcased her second range at the Brazilian event. Primarily made from leather, the featured lemon, pitaya, blemish, lychee and cherry coloured pieces included ladylike nipped at waist full skirts of various lengths, zipper embellished linen dresses and lace wedding gowns.

The cosmic black hole was the dominant factor behind Vitorino Fields’ SPFW presentation, made from satin, lurex organza, textured neoprene and silk. The simple and no fuss collection included jackets, dresses, vests and coats and perky coral hued shorts.

Apart from the above mentioned designers, the 37th edition of SPFW also saw exquisite creations from the likes of Giuliana Romanno and A Raquel Davidowicz.
