The just concluded 20th edition of Riga Fashion Week (RFW) showcased Autumn/Winter 2014/15 collections from several young and seasoned designers from the Baltic region.

Latvian brand BeCarousell was influenced by the lightweight, airy fashions of flirty 1950s for its latest catwalk collection. Made using natural fabrics like silk chiffon, satin, leather, wool and cotton, the range displayed hand painted dresses and jackets in soft hues.

Local clothing label Nolo featured an aristocratic feminine range in shades of blue, gray, purple, beige, silver and deep black where as home grown brand One Wolf showcased a collection inspired from the famous Lykov family, which is known for spending almost 42 years in complete isolation from human society in an uninhabited area in southern Siberia.

Other than the local names, Italian designer Paola Balzano showcased a line of soft elegant draperies, replete with architectural forms and feminine silhouettes. Adorned with Oriental motifs and kimono-style sleeves, the ensembles were made from silk, cashmere and velvet.

Apart from the above mentioned labels, Lithuanian brand D.Efect and Estonian chic label Pohjanheimo also presented their eclectic designs at the five-day-long soiree.
