A talented group of bridalwear designers showcased their latest collections at the just held Spanish sartorial extravaganza Pasarela Costura España (meaning Catwalk Couture Spain in English).

Held at the Palacio de Cibeles, Madrid, the soiree, which primarily aims at giving a boost to the country’s wedding fashion industry, showcased exquisite lines of bridal, party and ceremonial wears.

Franco Quintáns opened the runway event with his latest Galician sea and Victorian era inspired Love Water range. Made using luxe organza and tulle materials, the white, peach and champagne coloured pieces, such as voluminous skirts, jumpsuit, trousers and dresses, were enhanced with folds, bias cuts, feathers and crystals.

Rafael Urquizar staged a bridal and a festive collection titled Stitches of Love at the soiree. Detailed with Andalusian fringes and asymmetrical cuts, the line included languid chiffon dresses with bejewelled belts and pantsuits in shades of red, nude and blue.

Designer Paula del Vas displayed a 15-piece bridal and headdress collection. Infused with a very romantic and youthful feel, the muslin, Mikado, gauze, organza, georgette, chiffon and tulle crafted gowns were decorated with exclusive handmade embroidery.

In addition to the wedding fashion designers, the event, organized by the Asociación Costura España (Spain Sewing Association), also saw bridal lingerie creations from Visitation Villar and headgear and crown designs by Cano Mar label.
