A slice of 1980’s fashion, created by some of the leading fashion houses of that era, is on offer at the Museo della Figurina (Museum of Figurine), based in the city of Modena, Italy.

Slated to run through June 8, 2014, the display titled So 80’s! features nearly 13 exquisite clothing designs from various premium French and Italian fashion labels.

The featured pieces include a floral Christian Lacroix bustier, a Gianfranco Ferre skirt, a turquoise Versus by Versace blazer (1989), a pair of zipper-embellished Ferré leather trousers (1989), a maxi T-shirt (Krizia) (1989), a black manteau (Valentino) and an Enrico Coveri maxi poncho (1985).

The exhibits are sourced from the archives of the Modateca Deanna museum’s International Centre for Documentation Fashion (Centro Internazionale di Documentazione Moda), located in San Martino in Rio, Italy.

So 80’s! has been organized as part of the just wrapped up edition of Ecofashion Weekend at the museum.
