Pure London, the popular UK-based fashion trade show that highlights designs from contemporary clothing labels, is prepping up to launch a similar trade event in the city of Shanghai, China.

Dubbed as Pure Shanghai, the fair, which is slated to take place from October 20 to 22, 2014, will aim to give British brands an access to the previously undiscovered opportunities of China.

With the participation of more than 60 British fashion brands, the event will also serve as a platform to build strategic relationships with influential buyers, shopping malls, multi-brand department stores, online retailers, franchisers, and agents and distributors.

Expected to be attended by domestic media and retailers, the trade fair will also offer networking opportunities through potential match-making events and would enable labels to create brand visibility through local as well as UK and European media channels.

There is a strong consumer demand in China and with 40 percent of all purchases now trend driven, there is a need for high quality product and a broader product offering. With its £98 billion fashion market and the need for individual style and desire for western fashion, China will account for 30 percent of the global fashion market’s growth over the next five years.

Due to be held from August 3 to 5, 2014, Pure London will bring together mid-to-high end brands for Spring/Summer 2015 trend showcases.
