Australians usually ignore New Zealand fashion designers when it comes to showering accolades all through Mercedes Australian Fashion Week.

This year's event was lackluster even while NZ designers could not be overlooked.

Above all, they were recognized among the week's handful immaculate stars, besides Sydney's Josh Goot.

Finally, a genuine fashion show raved a top Sydney stylist after MCFW show closed last week.

Thank God there was some colour, makeup and innovation. Zambesi show attended by more than 500 buyers and media, hailed it as "individualists."

There was no easy-breezy beachwear, just the gloomy romance of New Zealand.

Everything was covered and gave a fresh take on staple pieces.

Veronica Keucke fashion design student of Former Wellington Massey University claimed the popular closing position of Sunday's New Generation Show.

She won the chance to show at the Mercedes-Benz Start Up Awards in Auckland in March.

Keucke resisted the Australian inclination to hike her hemlines high, preferring them to be just below the knee.
Last week, Cybele Wiren, another Kiwi became popular at the women's wear ready-to-wear group show.

Tokyo agent Nicole Bargwanna said Cybele was the most noticeable at the show and would be appealing to the Japanese shoppers.
