The event, which is now running into its fourth year, featured dazzling arrays of vibrantly printed attires from pan-African and international names like Ade Bakare (Nigeria), Adama Paris (Senegal), Sylvia Owuri (Uganda), Vaishali Morjaria (Kenya), Tsholo (Botswana) and Pear (Thailand).

The recently launched fashion label RAAAH, owned by designer Rahima Mohamed, highlighted its debut range Fly/Fly High at the event. Based on clean yet cutting-edge silhouettes, the line was a mix of both vintage and contemporary sartorial ethos.

Enhanced with an earthy palette of cream and ivory with a dash of vibrant red and timeless black, the featured pieces were cropped tops, wide-legged pants, bodysuits, blouses with voluminous sleeves, striped skirts, skirt suits, fitted skirts, maxis and crochet dresses.

The Manchester-based Malawian designer Mia Nisbet once again presented her signature ethically produced, Malawian textile crafted, recycled clothing pieces blended in both modern and traditional fashion elements.

In addition to the style studded catwalk shows, fashion exhibitions, featuring over 50 designers and brands, as well as the AFWL Market Place, displaying works of African and African inspired designers based in the UK, were also hosted on the sidelines of the two-day event.
