The sixth edition of the three-day ‘Yarnex’ international exhibition, currently ongoing in the southern Indian city of Tirupur, has witnessed participation of more than 80 Indian and overseas companies.

Yarnex – India International Yarn Exhibition – is showcasing the latest in natural fibres (cotton, wool, silk & flax/ramie), man-made fibres (both synthetic and regenerated); specialty fibres, natural and blended yarns, elastic, etc.

Among the various companies displaying their products at the show, there is one stall of a government firm. The Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited is displaying newly developed innovative products like Nylon 6 yarns at the exhibition.

The 2013 edition of Yarnex, a strictly “Trade Only” event, was visited by more than 3,000 people from the textile weaving and knitting industry. The visitors included decision makers from international buying houses, composite mills, powerloom weavers, knitters, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, apparel brands, importers, fashion designers and fashion labels.
