The Malawi International Trade Fair attracts exhibitors and business professionals from across Africa and throughout the world with interests in African trade.
Popularly known as the “Warm Heart of Africa”, Malawi is located in South Eastern Africa and enjoys political stability, a free market economy and an inviting investment environment.
With attractions such as Lake Malawi, a beautiful fresh water lake with long, wide sandy beaches, and tourist attractions including national wildlife reserves, and parks featuring water falls and mountain ranges, Malawi has much to offer.
Current investment opportunities include the areas of tourism, mining, manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure and venture capital.
Malawi's economy imports machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment, petroleum products, fertilizers, motor vehicles, iron, steel, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Malawi's major exports are tobacco, tea, sugar cotton, coffee and apparel.
This year the trade fair will feature exhibitors and business representatives exploring opportunities in Malawi as well as looking for joint venture investments in existing firms.
