America’s top and upcoming wedding designers showcased their exquisite Autumn/Winter 2015 collections at the just held instalment of the semi-annual wedding fashion extravaganza New York Bridal Fashion Week.

The NYC-based bridalwear queen Vera Wang featured a romance-inspired line made using silk crepe, tulle, Chantilly lace and sheer materials. Based on a palette of nude, rose and ivory metallic hues, the line featured column dresses and embellished bustiers.

The British fashion house Temperley London showed its latest bridal range created in soft flowing silhouettes. Incorporated with floor-skimming trains and backless styles, the pieces were enhanced with delicate sleeves, silk overlays, lace work and beaded embellishments.

The television actress-turned-designer Desiree Hartsock featured her debut bridal wear collection at the three-day event. While speaking on the line, the design grad from Los Angeles-based Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising said, “The dresses reflect my personality – free spirited, but with a passion for glam, as seen in the soft, flowing fabrics and the Art Deco beadwork.”

Drawing inspiration from the icy protagonist of the 2013 American 3-D computer-animated musical fantasy-comedy film Frozen, designer Alfred Angelo featured an exotic collection of bridal gowns and flower girl dresses. The Disney princess’ styled range included a Queen Elsa-inspired bead detailed ice blue flared sheath with a sweetheart neckline, a ruby coloured Snow White dress, a pale blue Cinderella outfit and a purple Jasmine dress.

The Michigan-based couture designer Katerina Bocci featured a luxury bridal gown collection replete with organza, silk, taffeta and tulle fabrics. Adorned with hand-sewn beading details, crystal trims and coloured stone embellishments, the line featured ball gowns and bridal dresses in shades of white, ivory, cream and silver. (PB)
