Caribbean Fashion Week to become more exciting!

The most happening thing in Caribbeans, the 'Caribbean Fashion Week 2006' (CFW 2006) under able guidance of Pulse innovation, is scheduled to be held from June 7-11 at National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.

It is expected to be the biggest and most important Caribbean Fashion Week to date, having a 120ft dual runway and showcasing best of Caribbean's designers, along with noted guest designers, from across the world.

CFW 2006 will incorporate added features with increased visitor arrivals, wider commercial participation, a permanent new CFW store for retail and wholesale buyers, more after-parties and special events and a surprise ending.

A key innovation, in the interest of Jamaica's tourism will be announced shortly.

Of the 100 designers, who have evinced interest in this year's event, are likely to be reduced by Pulse to around 50 with 20 to 30 designers displaying on the main runway.

The other designers will make use of a specially erected runway in exhibition hall, which will not only feature designer booths but will also include displays by related interests, tourism and commercial sponsors.

Confirmed Caribbean designers so far, include Uzuri, Bill Edwards, Cooyah, Meiling, Biggy, Wright Style, Yardmanstyle, Rykii de Jude, Lubica, Nefertari, Moncrieffe, Zero Gravity, Kimanee Wilson, Atelier Doré, Jendayzi, Sean Dixon, Kenneth Edgar, The Cloth, Mutamba and Claudia Pegus.

Caribbean Fashion Week has carved out a niche in international fashion landscape since its launch, and has been hailed by British Vogue as a new trend in world fashion.
