AFF invites global exhibitors for fashion fair in Tokyo

Asia Fashion Fair-Tokyo 2015, Japan's biggest and most professional clothing and textiles fair, has opened invitations to exhibitors worldwide for the fair which will take place at Sunshine City Culture Center from October 21-23, AFF said in a statement.

Hosted by AFF Co., Ltd. and Japan-China Economic Relations and Trade Center, and organized by AFF Organizing Committee, the 26th edition of AFF-Tokyo brings together the country's largest selection of ready-made garments, accessories, home-textiles, fabrics and auxiliary materials.

Begun in 2003, the show is held twice a year -- in the spring in Osaka and in the autumn in Tokyo -- and now a between 300 to 400 exhibitors from China, Japan, Korea and their factories in Burma, Bangladesh, India and Cambodia.

With an exhibition area ranging from 6,000 to 15,000 square meters, recent editions of the show have boasted of some 300-500 booths and more than 5,000 buyers, 85 per cent of whom stay on-site for at least one hour according to official figures, the statement said. (SH)
