A week long National Handicraft Exhibition is to start from June 10, 2006, in an area of 20,000 square meters at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds, celebrating World Handicraft Day, informed sources.
This event will provide full platform to country's handicraft sector in domestic as well as on the international front, Hossein Rezakhah Head of Iran Handicrafts Organization stated.
Participants have been provided free space as most of the producers are from the deprived areas of the country.
He viewed that through the development of handicrafts sector, unemployment problem of the country can be solved.
