The Interstoff Asia Directions trend committee will present its apparel fabric trends forecast for Autumn/Winter 2007/08 at Interstoff Asia Autumn to be held from 4 – 6 October 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The trends provide an invaluable research and marketing tool, for designers, garment professionals helping them to steer their designs and manufacturing process in line with the coming fashion season.

Autumn/Winter 2007/08 will be a season of quiet harmony where emotions play an important role as consumers increasingly demand beauty, practicality, as well as integrity and soul.

Interstoff Asia has commissioned top trend forecasters from around the world to devise each season's trend stories. The Directions trend committee for 2006 combines the talent and experience of Here & There (New York), Global Color Research (London), Sachiko Inoue (Tokyo), Nelly Rodi Agency (Paris), and Elementi Moda (Milan).

Together, these leading trend forecasters from the world's fashion centres have combined their expertise and local influences to come up with the themes that tell the story of tomorrow's apparel fabric trends: 'enchantment', 'indigenous', 'enthusiasm' and 'androgynous'.

'Enchantment' conveys a playful ultra feminine world where ballet and dance are the main focus. The colours used are romantic and sensuous.

'Indigenous' allow uniform as well as worker and religious attire to be transformed with street elements. The colours rang from earthly brown to state blue.
