ABIT says that the “Surf & Beach Show”, the largest fair of the segment in Latin America, presents its 13th edition. The fair will be held from July 4 thru 7, at the Imigrantes Expo Center, in São Paulo, showing the main launches and trends for the summer of 2007 in the surfwear, streetwear and beachwear segments.
This year, the “Surf & Beach Show” is complemented by the simultaneous holding of the “Beach & Bikini Fashion Show”, the “Streetwear & Skate Show” and the “Surf & Beach TexPreview”.
Nearly 40 thousand national and international visitors are expected and they should drive business of around R$ 230 million. The “Surf & Beach Show” will have an Export Support Center that concentrates the ABIT/APEX-Brasil stands, with interpreters to facilitate business.
“This year the 'Surf & Beach Show' will follow an international trend in the segment's fairs and once again be open to the public in general, starting at 4PM, until it closes at 10PM."
"From 12PM to 4PM, the event will be open exclusively for storeowners and sector professionals to conduct good business in a more relaxed atmosphere,” declares Cecília Castro de Andrade, director of the “Surf & Beach Show”.
The fair has an extensive and varied schedule that includes daily fashion shows, “Skate Sessions” on the tracks set up in the Pavillion, the “Beat Beach”, a space with shows by bands and DJs, a Streetball court, a “street art” performance and literary launchings, as well as the “Against the Grain” showing (an event created by Hurley International that combines art, music and culture and includes surfboards customized by renowned shapers with artwork by legendary punk-rock artists from the time).
Brazil is the second country in the world in the consumption of surf and skate articles and the first in beachwear consumption.
