In an effort to increase crossover buying and selling opportunities for sewn product industry exhibitors and attendees, Material World will feature an expanded representation of home furnishings suppliers at the September 26-28, 2006 edition at the Jacob Javits Center, including more than 20 companies from Pakistan.

Offering a variety of fabric, trim, leather and service resources for upholstery, bed, bath, linen and other home furnishings industry members, this new section joins Material World's extensive selection of apparel resources and positions the exhibition as the one-stop global resource for sourcing, fabric, trim and trends.

The representation of home furnishings at Material World New York will include a variety of mills, converters, leather and trimming manufacturers showcasing product in a wide variety of categories, including cottons, chenille, chintzes, velvets, faux fabrics, flocks, jacquards, leather, sheeting, tapestries, yarn, bed/bath and more.

Target attendees for this selection include upholstery manufacturers, bed/bath/linen manufacturers, retailers, interior designers, jobbers and over-the-counter businesses.

International in scope, the home furnishings offerings will come from domestic suppliers and other countries and regions around the globe, including Pakistan and India.

“Many of our current exhibitors who already serve the home furnishings market, as well as the apparel market, will benefit from the expanded sales opportunities,” says Tim von Gal, executive vice president, Urban Expositions, producers and managers of Material World.
