BCFW to showcase Spring/Summer collections

With the launch of the BC Fashion Week (BCFW) website for Spring/Summer 2007, designers, buyers, media and industry around the globe are invited to participate in the upcoming fashion week scheduled in Vancouver from September 26th to October 1st, 2006.

The Performance Works Theatre on Granville Island will be home to the mainstage for the fourth season, showcasing Spring /Summer 2007 Canadian collections. “The Performance Works Theatre will provide the backdrop for the sets showcasing the talents of our participating designers,” states Vladimir Markovich, Executive Creative Director.

“Further details about the design of the venue will be announced closer to the delivery dates for BC Fashion Week,” continued Markovich, “but we promise that audiences will be once again be treated to a blend of technology and fashion with the set design for this upcoming season.”

“In addition to standout shows being scheduled for the mainstage, a number of activities are being planned for delivery during the week, including collaborations with a diverse array of partners,” said Debra Walker, Executive Director, BC Fashion Week.

“Each season we are pleased to partner with various members of the community both in and outside of the fashion industry, to showcase the solid community we have here in Vancouver,” Walker continued.

“This upcoming season is no exception and we welcome Vancouver and the world to celebrate Canadian fashion.”

BC Fashion Week (BCFW) is a high profile event aimed at establishing Vancouver as an emerging fashion centre and a true partner in the global fashion world, along with centres such as Milan, Paris, London, New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Montreal and Sydney.
