Cher's accessories to fetch over $1mn at auction

Eminent singer and actress Cher's furniture, artwork, jewelry and her famous wardrobe is to be auctioned for charity to the Cher Charitable Foundation which supports a number of causes.

Auctions are planned from October 3-4, 2006 of 200 items from the Oscar winner's professional and personal wardrobe that would fetch more than US $1 million.

A Bob Mackie original gown worn by Cher to the Academy Awards, and a black net gown with multicolored embroidered dots and stones she wore on The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour television show in 1974 have also been included in the sale.
