Government has signed an agreement with Ukraine to develop trade relations and raise two-way transaction to atleast US $1 billion.
At the recently held 8th Inter-Governmental Committee in Kiev, Ukraine consented to supply chemicals, energy and shipbuilding materials and technology while Vietnam would trade its garments, footwear, consumer goods, and farm products.
In 2005 trade-value between the two countries reached $230 million representing a steady growth rate.
Vietnamese delegation at the seminar was led by Deputy Trade Minister, Le Danh Vinh and Deputy Economics Minister, Andri Berezny, led the Ukrainian delegation.
