Presentation of collections by two budding designers on the third day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week was in contrast as Gaurav Gupta looked to have missed the bus while Varun Bahl was right on the button.
Gaurav regarded as a promising talent in fashion designing, looked to have just went off the track a bit. His collections seemed to be dependent heavily on rich satins that had been embellished with sequins and shimmering patterns.
Gaurav's collections consisted of feminine line with skirts, dresses and even saris dominating the look. Sadly, the collection which could have been a class just fell apart as they turned out to be dresses for women looking for kitty party.
On the other hand, dresses designed by Bahl were targeted at the middle aged person. He prepared his collections keeping in mind the requirements of the mid-aged people since they are hardly targeted by designers.
He designed western wear line both for men and women consisting of soft lines, supple designs on satin, layers of chiffon fabric with the use of net.
