The enchanted forest of fashion was unfurled by Paras and Shalini for their Geisha Designs label for Spring/Summer 2007 at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

Titled Queen of Elphame, this Midsummer-Night's-Dream like collection divided into three sections had ethereal creations that floated around the wearer.

The Efland section in ivory and green had sheer organza, georgette and jersey dresses with detailing like drapes and rouching. Skirts floated around and breezy tunics wafted over them and dresses caused a gentle ripple.

For the second look Nature Force, it was just ivory and beige in all their subtle glory with shades of pink, orange, mint green yellow for bouquet, dragon fly, butterfly prints flitting over the fabrics for layered dresses, skirts and T-shirts.

For the final look Ruling the Reverie, it was lush brocades and jacquards with sheer chiffons and taffeta in hot colours like orange, green and gold. Here detailing played in important part with plisse, flounces on ornate necklines and bodices.

The total look of the collection was aimed at the summer months when the heat is strong and the mercury high so fluid creations would make it all a wondrous dream.

Here is a collection that Shakespeare would have definitely endorsed for his leading ladies Hermia and Helena, as they dreamt through the days and many of the nights.

Geisha designs as a firm has its strength in being fresh, young and trendy in look. International forecasts majorly influence our design concepts.
