Fire had engulfed 7,200-square-foot building at 1129 S San Julian Street, Los Angeles garment district, last Friday.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while thwarting the textile clothing fueled blaze.
Both men were treated for minor injuries at local hospitals.
More than 150 firefighters responded and initially began to battle the blaze from the inside, crawling on their bellies to enter the building.
But they had to pull out as parts of the structure's arched roof began caving in.
They then switched to 'defense mode', dousing it from the outside with hose lines hooked to extended ladders.
Since the building were loaded with textiles, in addition to large amounts of clothing stored in a warehouse-type manner where firefighters were to get 50 or more feet into a structure with lots of heavy fire load, it was a very difficult affair.
The building was housed by four retailers. The business owners were evacuated and none of them were injured.
