Presence of Bollywood celebrities on the final day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week helped the event end on a high note in an otherwise star-starved event.
The connection between Bollywood and Indian fashion industry is not new. Times may have changed the pattern of partnership and coordination between each other.
Pre-liberalisation era was the time when people looked at the stars to find out the new fashion trend, products, style and new ways of dressing. Women stars in particular were looked as the messenger of fashion trends and styles.
But the scenario has changed now with the stars today acting as bodies to showcase the designer's collections. Clothes and accessories particularly for a song sequence are prepared well in advance and perhaps according to the dictates of the designer.
So the closing day of the gala just goes on to show the transformation in the relationship between the two complementary strata of the glamour world.
