Contrasting styles adorn Fashion Week in Tokyo

Ne-net took part in the Spring/Summer 2007 Tokyo Collection along with seven other brands.

The emerging brand Ne-net turned inside out recently when it recreated the world of children's dreams, with its clothes based on the theme inverse.

Visitors were treated to a display of overseas fashion in a special event titled Swiss Design at Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo.

The Ne-net collection was presented by designer Kazuaki Takashima, conveyed the message that if people could really imagine 'opposites' -- children and adults, Japan and Brazil, white and black, full stomachs and hunger -- then an ideal world would come into view.

Taishi Nobukuni for the Ne-net show, the venue itself was turned 'upside down', with the illuminated feet of mannequins protruding from the floor and human figures dangling from the ceiling.
