Five 'skinny' models not allowed to catwalk

Pasarela Cibeles, Spain's top annual fashion show has rejected five models from appearing in their event for being too thin.

The show had earlier on, decided to drop model who did not meet the standard of body mass index set by the organizers.

Among 68 models who turned up for the test, five had the height of five feet and seven inches but weighed below 121.25 pounds and subsequently were rejected as their body mass index was well below the limits of World Health Organisation (WHO).

The show is scheduled to run from Monday through Friday and is trying to project the image of beauty, elegance and health.
