Ashburton will celebrate its annual Boulevard day on Monday which nowadays attracts more stallholders from outside compared to the local one.

The coordinator of the event, Tony Dawson informed that 108 stallholders from Invercargill to Auckland are to set up shops and only 20 locals stallholders were in the list.

The items which will be on sale include clothing, jewellery, pottery, leatherware and so on. Painting will also be on sale being sold by the members of Ashburton Society of Art.

Dawson regretted the fact that they will not be able to organize retailers' races and other events solely because of the fact that that the event now will be witnessing people in large number.
