Five women and three men were on Sunday short-listed for the annual Scottish Style Awards which is recognized as milestone in the field of fashion, music, art, hospitality and retailing.
Nominations among women include Dawn Steele, the actress from Monarch of the Glen, Annie Lennox and artist Alison Watt while men category is studded with Steven Pressley, the captain of Hearts, David Tennant, the actor from Doctor Who and AA Gill who is a newspaper columnist and restaurant reviewer.
The ceremony will be held on October, 27 in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow. The list of judges includes Claudia Croft, the fashion feature director of Sunday Times Style and Jonathan Saunders, the Scottish fashion designer and winner of an award last year.
The host for the show includes Vic Galloway and Shantha Roberts of the BBC, a nominee in the most stylish woman category herself. The function consists of a champagne reception along with dinner for 500 people and the Scottish Fashion Designer of the year runway show.
