Target of Rs67 lakh has been set for Deepavali Khadi sale in Tiruvannamalai district, informed District Collector Sathyabratha Sahoo while inaugurating the sale.
Sahoo listed out the importance of Kadhi yarn spinning and weaving saying that it helps rural populace in huge chunk by offering means of livelihood.
Plenty of promotional schemes are on offer as well. Silk varieties would get 20 to 30 percent, Khadi polyester varieties 30 percent and woolen items 20 percent discount in the sale.
