Heavyweight Barrett to wear Everlast boxing gloves to back BCRF

Everlast® Worldwide Inc. announced that on Saturday October 7, 2006 heavyweight contender Monte Barrett will wear pink Everlast professional boxing gloves in support of Everlast's Breast Cancer Awareness initiative with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Everlast will donate to the BCRF 5% from the sale of every pair of its pink boxing gloves sold through sporting goods retailers such as Target, Modell's and Dick's Sporting Goods, to name a few.
This Saturday night, Queens, New York native Monte Barrett will lace up his pink Everlast gloves and battle his larger-than-life opponent, WBA Heavyweight Champion Nikolai Valuev from Russia, live from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. on HBO at 10:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM PT.
