Italian wine & clothes may become flavour of Indian elite

Finally, some good news is on card for the Italian wine producers with Indian markets opening to them during Italian festival scheduled to last for six weeks between November and December.
States like Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra and cities such as Delhi and Mumbai have allowed the sale of wine and beer in the super markets.
Secretary General of Italian chamber of commerce to India, Sergio Sgambato said that it is a step which can favour our industries. He reasoned that with super markets becoming popular every day and Italian foods, clothes becoming the flavor of Indian upper class, the possibilities are endless.
The festival is being organized by Italian Chamber of Commerce to India along with Italian foreign trade institute, Enit and Italian embassies. The festival will see the participation of more than 80 Italian delegations.
Italy is seventeenth highest trade partner of India and is ninth in terms of imports from India. It is the twelfth highest investor in India with investment of 457 million dollars in sectors such as food, engineering and textile industry.
