Manipur Tourism Festival 2006, which gets under way from November 6-9 at Imphal, is being organized by State Tourism Department jointly with other agencies.
This festival will have many venues depending on various activities such as art and cultural presentation, exhibition for handloom and handicrafts, indigenous game presentation, adventure and eco-tourism activities.
Festival's main theme is to project and showcase Manipur as one of the favourite tourist destinations and to generate a feeling of communal harmony and foster a sense of brotherhood among people.
The biggest ever tourism festival in Imphal will encompass entire facets of tourism including conducted tours to major places of tourist interest with trained guides.
Besides, the unique festival will feature other related activities with special impetus on art and culture, flora and fauna, handicrafts and handloom, indigenous sports and eco-tourism potential of Manipur.
