An exhibition organized by IIR Middle East, at Airport Expo Dubai from March 1-3, 2007 is aimed at honoring customs, tradition and heritage of South Asian community, which represents a culturally important ethnic group in Dubai.
The biggest cultural festival of the year will witness hundreds of exhibitors offering products and services including fashion shows, cultural performances, celebrity appearances, daily competitions and a bazaar of ethnic Asian artefacts.
With more than 30,000 visitors expected, Asian Lifestyle will also put forward products and services including fashion and accessories, health, fitness, wellbeing and beauty, jewellery, home decor, consumer electronics, handicrafts and ethnic artefacts, property, travel and leisure, finance and investment, education and recruitment.
As part of the three day event, HSBC Bank is organizing a competition to design a bank note under theme of 'Our Lifestyle in the UAE today'. Competition is open to children under age of 16 years and will start on January 7, 2007 with last date for all entries being February 4.
Winners will each receive an HSBC savings account credited with Dh1000, while their local schools will receive Dh10,000 worth of computer equipment. Likewise, runners-up will each receive accounts with a deposit of Dh200, while their schools will receive gift vouchers worth Dh1,000 to spend on books or equipment.
