Lakme Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2007 has lived upto the hype created, atleast during the initial two days that featured series of interesting collections from talented designers.
Yesterday's show offered a fusion of sagacious and pragmatic collection from Priyadarshini Rao and a passionate and zealous one from Surily Goel.
Rao's womens wear range included salwar-kameez, trapeze and tunics, bubble dresses, and shifts while the men's wear mostly offered casual wear in natural sand, beige, sea-green and blues and white shades.
On the contrast the afternoon Surily show turned around the mood completely from subtle to sensual and carefree.
Young designer who has dressed Priety Zinta in several movies including the latest 'Jaan-e-Mann', presented wide range of feminine skirts and one-piece bubble outfits, in different colors and variety of fabrics.
Most skirts were flowing knee-length, made of pure and blend materials like chiffon, georgette, crochets, organdy and light silks emphasizing pleats and waist-gatherings with the aid of graceful thin satin belts.
As against her earlier works, this year's creations flaunted minimum appliqué, though the embellishments of tiny coloured stones provided the perfect touch.
Bollywood celebs striking Fardeen Khan, sexy Sameera Reddy, ever-green Neelam Kothari, Tara Sharma, Dino Morea and elengant Sonali Bendre were there to cheer their favorite designer.
