Wednesday was a day of vibrant colors at Lakme Fashion Week, with South African duo fashion brands Clive Rundle and Sun Goddess presenting a collection of fusion styles, and popular Wendell Rodricks emphasizing Goan passion and beauty in his spring-summer 2007 range 'Les Vamps'.

First up was Clive Rundle, offering women's wear that focused on hyperbolical layered dresses and skirts in rich shades of maroons and mauves, cherry and creams, plums and peach, emeralds and sapphires, alongwith the contrasting moon-whites and dark-nights.

This collection also offered long coats, jackets, tops, evening wear and gowns, loose fitting shirts and trousers.

Sun Goddess range presented clothes with flowing pleats and layers in stimulating colors that highlighted the cultural African lavishness and pompous feel.

Later in the evening, Wendell Rodricks's 'Les Vamps' range was inspired by the dark-side of the striking Goa.

The models strutted down the ramp flaunting almost everything from skirt to sarees, all of which had a sinuous grace making them look like guardian angels or creepy bats, with the aid of wings and sheers.

Talking about his collection, Rodricks said, “Les Vamps is about beauty, mystery, secrets, fear and, above all, fashion; for the woman of today who can take on many emotions, switching from coy innocence to fierce vamp with equal ease. Like the haunting beauty of Goa's ghosts, spirits and vampires.”

Wide range of fabrics used included, tulle, organza, silk crepe, crushed silk, chiffons, charmeuse and linens.
