Shishi apparel city hosts China-EU Social Responsibility Forum

Shishi apparel city hosted the 'China-EU Social Responsibility Forum' recently, which has emerged as an important part of WTO project.

The forum was organized by the China Textile Industry Association and the Enterprise Directorate-General of the European Commission, and sponsored by enterprises in the EU, the EU-China WTO program, Shishi city government units.

The aim of the forum is to promote and enhance awareness of the social responsibility of business leaders.

The forum topics included raising awareness of social responsibility, the legal basis for implementation of social responsibility as well as local and international experience and exchange practice.

The forum introduced corporate social responsibility, including the banning of the use of child labor, working hours, overtime, minimum wage, non-discrimination, the safety and health of employees, the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining and environmental awareness in production.
